Lock in date

To be able to lock the date so that it would remain the same when navigating DC.
We process the previous days' orders and I would love to be able to set the date at the beginning of the day and know that it would remain the same throughout the shift.

Goals
To lock the date to remain the same. To not have to set the date each time I use a status or filter option. A clear symbol would be useful, to indicate that the dates are fixed.

Examples
I could set the date to any orders up to the previous day and then know that no orders. from today, would be despatched by mistake.
