Voila Update (14/04/2025)

Spring cleaning, but make it backend 🧼

While the daffs are blooming and the seagulls keep yelling, we’ve been sweeping through some technical dust and adding a few new tricks behind the scenes. Here’s what’s fresh from the dev forge this week:

✨ New & Improved

Hosted Pages: Say hello to one of the biggest features we have released in a while! Hosted pages allows you to generate a link for one hour that you can send to anyone for easy onboarding. You can edit the page with your own logo, colors and you can even select which couriers you'd like to show to your customers! Best of all - you can do this all through your API, making it possible to onboard anyone with the press of a button!
Speedier label PDFs (especially for DPD): We’ve swapped out the PDF service used in label creation. The result? Snappier generation times, especially for couriers where we add logos, like DPD. Fast labels = happy users.

FedEx: Now Handling Dangerous Goods: The Dangerous Goods framework is now live for FedEx. Extra paperwork, less panic — all handled under the hood.

FedEx v2: Commercial Invoices On-Demand: We added fetch_commercial_invoice as a courier-specific setting in FedEx v2. Because sometimes you really need that invoice, and now you can just ask.

🛠️ Fixes & Adjustments

• Fixed an issue with BJS labels not printing properly — no more wrestling with half-printed barcodes.
 • ArrowXL parcel limit bumped up from 15 to 26. Bigger deliveries, no complaints.
 • Generalised the Windsor Framework fields to play nice across the board. More compliant, less chaotic.
 • New login page is live! Also: we squashed a few launch bugs that popped up right after it went out. Thanks to everyone who spotted them fast.
